"Picnic in the Park" Exhibit

Children will be encouraged to join other children in a pretend park.  There will be picnic baskets and foods to explore social play opportunities.  Adults will encourage children to share and take turns with other children.  Adults will also model how to socialize in a positive manner.  If the child picks up the apple, the touch of the apple will generate a computer voice to label the food while encouraging the child to repeat sentences.  For example, the computer voice will say, "This is an apple.  Say apple."  If the child says "apple," the computer voice will praise the child by saying, "Great job saying apple."
